As a musician I have heard and played hundreds of songs, and when I heard IZ sing "Over the Rainbow" along with "Wonderful World" it touched my heart. On my recent visit to Honolulu I got to see the place that he loved so much. I feel that he has touched the heart of so many with his beautiful spirit and kind nature, and marvelous talent. To his family....thank you for bringing such a wonderful person to the world for all to share, and thank you dear Lord for placing the Holy Spirit in the heart of one of your singing angels that bless this earth and our lives.

Iz has the most fantastic voice and the simple arrangement just makes the song perfect. I'm in to heavy rock but when I got back to the UK I ordered a copy of Facing Future and I love it.
Every time I listen to the CD it reminds of the beauty of the islands and the people of Hawaii. We hope to return to Hawaii in 2013 to spend some more time in paradise.

This Haole guy always listening to Hawaii music. The many familys inviting me to their house and parties always trying to feed this skinny kid. Skippy and IZ, I got to see them perform, although I did'nt know it at the time, I was being exposed to the true meaning of OHANA. IZ had a message too....when a government is allowed to decide whats right for the people which destroys a culture. IZ's spirt lives on. There is nothing better than to get the morning coffee and go to my pool deck and listen to IZ sing E Ku'u Morning Dew and share his kind, smiling spirit with me. IZ is singing and playing ukelele for God now whom gave him his voice and talent.

My granddaughter went ballistic when I mentioned I had two of IZ's CD's. Now she has them on her iPod. I always agreed with my mother that I must have been born with an Hawiian spirit in me, because I felt at home and at peace with all his music. May he resy in peace and know that all of us here on this earth still love and miss him terribly.

As the movie ended I listened to a version of over the rainbow for the first time. I re winded the part of the song many times. I thought that the voice although manly was very soothing and pleasant. I got interested right at that point in the Ukalele. I bought one and got in you tube and found the lyrics the notes and learned for the first time who sang it. The video presented depicted people from the great island of Hawaii. As the video continued I suddenly realized that it was a funeral. I know I am hyper emotional but I never thought that the death of a stranger would affect me as it did. To bad I didn't know I.Z. before .I would have liked to see him in concert somewhere. Every time I play my Ukalele I will always think of that big man with the big voice. Hope he was a good dad and husband, son and brother. I hope he is playing up in heaven. God bless IZ
