Skippy and IZ, I got to see them perform, although I did'nt know it at the time, I was being exposed to the true meaning of OHANA. IZ had a message too....when a government is allowed to decide whats right for the people which destroys a culture. IZ's spirt lives on. There is nothing better than to get the morning coffee and go to my pool deck and listen to IZ sing E Ku'u Morning Dew and share his kind, smiling spirit with me. IZ is singing and playing ukelele for God now whom gave him his voice and talent.

As the movie ended I listened to a version of over the rainbow for the first time. I re winded the part of the song many times. I thought that the voice although manly was very soothing and pleasant. I got interested right at that point in the Ukalele. I bought one and got in you tube and found the lyrics the notes and learned for the first time who sang it. The video presented depicted people from the great island of Hawaii. As the video continued I suddenly realized that it was a funeral. I know I am hyper emotional but I never thought that the death of a stranger would affect me as it did. To bad I didn't know I.Z. before .I would have liked to see him in concert somewhere. Every time I play my Ukalele I will always think of that big man with the big voice. Hope he was a good dad and husband, son and brother. I hope he is playing up in heaven. God bless IZ

As I was making the arrangements for his services, I ran across this beautiful artist and a fantastic rendition of this song. As we left the chapel that day, there was a rainbow in the sky. Since that day a little over a month ago I have seen two more rainbows and it reminds me of his hugs and unconditional love. I was enchanted by the Island's beauty, and magic energy exuding from the Island. We went to several places around the Island and it didn't matter where we went, not long after or during our visit we'll hear the rainbow song -every single place- My boyfriend and I had never heard of IZ before, so we finally asked one of the ladys at the gift shop who the singer was... that's how we found out about him..... I made a mental note to get the song on Itunes as soon as we were to be back to main land-I forgot totally about it- four months after we came back I heard the song again at a grocery store (on a Thursday) I texted my boyfriend to tell him I couldn't believe I was hearing the song just as we did in Hawaii, then on Sunday -same week- we went to Costco and out of nowhere we found IZ's cd "Facing Future" only cd left I guess.... there was NO more... just that one with the rainbow song.... I TOOK IT as a SIGN that we should get it... SO WE DID!! and I do not repent... I love the CD... love the melodies... even though half of the cd I do not understand what he is singing...
